Valentine’s Is A Lying, Anti-Relationships Bastard.

I just don’t trust pink, heart-shaped, chocolate-stuffed boxes.

Maybe that’s why Valentine’s never felt right.

Or maybe I’m old fashioned and self-rightouse and don’t believe in a holiday that says “hey, you know how you take that special someone for granted 364 days of the year? Well make February 14th different. Go buy them some flowers.”

There was something shifty and fake about V-Day for me all these years…

It turns out I was right.

Valentine’s is a lying, two-timing, slime-ball.

(”Slime-ball”: A term used through-out the 80s. Mostly while wearing a sweater wrapped and tied around your hip.)

Let me Tarantino this for a second…

I’m writing and posting this on February 15th.

NOT on the “day of”!

Because contrary to what angry, lonely women think: not ALL men are pigs. (Just most of us).

And it would be very rotten and piggish of me to rain truth on everyone’s February 14th parade.

Example: You don’t go to a kid’s birthday party and start popping his Happy Birthday balloons.

That’s just rude.

And Genie’s know better.

Thanks to Genie ethics classes. (It was the class right before “Carpet Flying”).

Plus I fear the retaliation…

The fury of a woman denied her flowers and chocolates and forced-romance is like slapping a sleeping, rabid dog in the face with a T-bone steak. It’s just not a smart piece of action.

BUT…

It’s the day after! Valentine’s is over.

So suck it up…

Because I’m about to dish out a reality check.

With all that build up, I’ll also give you the let-down.

Here’s the let-down…

This Rant has little to do with Valentine’s.

It’s about fact vs fiction. (And how that turns into more money in your business… yes, this IS about your business).

A Russell Brunson training for your post-Valentine’s Wednesday

Hello hello… I hope you enjoyed your Valentine’s.

(I have a Rant coming up about the v-day… but
more on that later). ;-)

Question…

Did you grab this audio yet?

http://www.robtoth.com/brunsonaudio

I re-posted the interview I did with famous
potato-GUN man and star internet marketer Russell
Brunson.

It’s a good listen to mid-week and get back into
business mindset after the love-day festivities.

This is from a couple of years ago.

And it’s *still* a golden 15 minutes of training from
Russell Brunson.

Of course, the product bundle mentioned on the
same page is what I also want to bring your attention to.

The audio interview is free. Direct access. You can
listen to it right at this page:

http://www.robtoth.com/brunsonaudio

Browse the course contents too. It’s from a
marketer who not only sold tens of millions of
dollars online but also had a Virgin Airlines plane
branded for his company (he and his team won the
competition for it).

I’m a fan of taking advice only from qualified pilots.

Russell is very qualified.

If some of the below is of interest to you, then
take a look at the this must-study course:

Disc 1: Creating Your Value Ladder
Disc 2: Advanced Buyer Psychology
Disc 3: Advanced Selling Tactics
Disc 4: Ninja Traffic Secrets
Disc 5: Advanced Testing and Tweaking
Disc 6: Secret Back-End Tactics Part 1
Disc 7: Secret Back-end Tactics Part 2
Disc 8: Wrapping It All Up

P.P.S. Need some guidance, coaching, mentorship,
tactics, training, action steps, clarification,
systems, solutions and profits?

Here is what my last 2 clients sent in via email:

“Rob – After reading your initial analysis,
I am so glad I hired you. Will speak with you soon.”

- Scott B.

“I think that we have done quite a significant
work together and that the result is a very high
quality product that has good chances to succeed.
I did the maximum I could during the past months
but I am also very aware that I could not achieve
the same result alone. Your continuous guidance,
feedback and direct help gave me a very solid
and productive framework that both increased my
self confidence in what I am doing and stretched
my abilities for the better. You helped me also
skip “terrible mistakes”, overcome mental road
blocks and solve technical issue… I am
very happy that I took the decision to hire your
services and that we could work together. I thank
you for all of that and consider you as a great
professional.
Continue the good job!”

the buzz of “affiliate marketing 3.0″ … (and an audio freebie)

There’s a new buzz word developing: affiliate marketing 3.0.

As a marketer, I understand the value of putting a pretty
little label and buzz word on something to make it sound
that much more unique…

But even if you ignore the silly buzz word name, there
IS a growing change and “maturity” that’s occuring in
affiliate marketing world.

So this is an email for affiliates.

Those who like to send promote already established
products for a commission of the sale instead of creating
their own products.

There are generally 3 practices for making big money
as an affiliate….

1) become an absolute wizard at media buying. Know where
and how to buy the cheapest traffic, know how to track
EVERYTHING, watch your numbers closely everyday. If you
do master this, you’re a god. Period. Everyone wants a
bit of your time. BUT, it’s a hell of a ride and a potentially
very expensive one.

2) option B… you send the traffic to some sort of lead
capture page of your own and then you followup with
multiple related offers to those leads. This is a longer
funnel before you get worthwhile paydays but is
potentially the lowest risk.

3) or, alternatively, take the visitors to some sort of
authority page. Whether that’s your blog (where you’re
viewed as the authority and then you introduce affiliate
offers) or to a review page (where you “review” a dozen
or so products in a category and all of them have your
affiliate links).

If you’re in affiliate marketing, your model very
likely fits into one of those 3.

Those 3 are how nearly any affiliate for any product
in any market, earns commissions.

Now…

Here’s where the “maturing” is occuring.

People are starting to (finally!) think “bigger picture”.

Besides just making some immediate-cash as an affiliate,
they’ll looking at how make the operation bigger and a
lot more valuable.

This brings me to the idea of “affiliate marketing 3.0″.

You can read a 23-page report that explains this better here:

http://www.robtoth.com/thenewaffmarketing

download that report.

It’s written by overall business-genius Mike Mograbi.

(As an introduction to who Mike is, I had my web guys
post the interview I did with Mike back in 2008).

Both the interview and the 23-page report are available here:

http://www.robtoth.com/thenewaffmarketing

I’ll finish up my “affiliate marketing 3.0″ point
Monday night. As a “part 2″ to this email.

Enjoy your saturday!

here’s an interesting strategy to get your product sold in retail stores… (a tip by Mitch Hedberg)

The great Mitch Hedberg left a legacy of one-liners
that can, very efficiently, make you look like
an IDIOT whenever you’re sitting with a laptop
in a quite public cafe, reading his comedy to
yourself.

I know.

I just experienced this first hand.

Here was Mitch’s “strategy” for getting his
comedy CD sold at stores like Target:

“The only way I could get my old CD into a store
is if I were to take one in and leave it. Then
the guy says, ‘Sir, you forgot this!’ …
‘No, I did not. That is for sale. Please alphabetize
it.’”

Genius.

:-)

Online, you too should want to get into “stores”,
marketplaces and directories where your target
market hangs out.

It can make your lead generation oh so much more
pleasant.

For info product owners, here are some “watering
holes” to consider getting listed in:

* I’ll use the “internet marketing” market as
an example…

Amazon (largest online bookstore)

Ebay (the largest auction site)

Craigslist (the largest classifieds site)

iTunes (largest podcast directory)

YouTube (largest video network)

Warrior Forum (largest internet marketing forum)

IMNewsWatch (largest internet marketing news site)

Clickbank (largest digital info-product marketplace)

Facebook (largest social community)

Google (largest search engine)

.
.
.

You get the picture.

Of course, no need to just stop at the largest
of each. Look at the other major players. 2nd
place and 3rd place.

And what about the largest ebook directories,
article directories, RSS directories, image sites
(ie: Flickr), tutorial sites, bit torrent sites
(if you have freebies, why not?), downloads
sites (like download.com) …

There’s often a lot of emphasis on “getting ranked
in Google”.

But that’s just ONE major watering hole.

Are you showing up in the other ones?

If I search the keywords specific to your product,
will I find teaser content videos on YouTube?

Would I find a listing of your podcast on iTunes?

Would I come across your product details on
IMNewsWatch.com?

You should be creating an inventory of all the
major watering holes relevant to your product
line and keep expanding that list.

Also add in other traffic sources.

You want to end up with a master spreadsheet that
has the main traffic funnels that you can build
systems around so you or your team members can
consistently drive more traffic to your pages.

In previous emails, I mentioned Kim Roach’s
Traffic Dahsboard (as a sidenote, she actually
DOES talk about the largest ebook directories,
largest forum directories etc).

If you haven’t looked at it yet, maybe you
should.

Traffic is one of those always important topics
and the more you master it, the easier your
inc*ome grows… and that’s a stone cold fact.

Kim’s traffic course details:

- Rob Toth

P.S. Here’s another Mitch Hedberg classic…

“I want to hang a map of the world in my house,
and then I’m gonna put pins into all the locations
that I’ve traveled to. But first I’m gonna
have to travel to the top two corners of the
map so it won’t fall down.”

traffic in Malta

I’m sitting here on a Friday afternoon, 2:49pm,
on the patio in Malta looking out at this…

That’s the view from the balcony up here.

(If we’re buddy-buddy on Facebook, I’ll upload
some Malta photos next week. My facebook and all
my info is posted on my site www.RobToth.com
if you want to add me).

The view is great, but make no mistake: this
is work time.

I’m actually sitting out here tearing through
my Traffic folder.

Looking at courses, notes and ramblings I’ve
saved over the years, all about effective ways
of driving visitors to a webpage.

I’m doing this research and refresher session
in preparation for a new (and my first ever)
membership launch. But that’s a story for another time.

In this mix of all-things-traffic, I paid
attention to the course launched by Kim Roach
this past December called Traffic Dashboard.

I saw the many promotions for it (maybe you did
too) and yesterday I watched her 13 minute
video to learn more.

This afternoon I’ve been tearing through the
members area and it’s very good.

Nearly all of what she demonstrates are “free”
tactics which will be welcomed by anyone who
may be getting started and is on a tight
marketing budget.

http://www.robtoth.com/tip/traffic.htm

I’m going to go back and watch the rest of her
course videos and then I have plenty of other
old notes and traffic products to work through.

So I’ll get back to my Friday afternoon work,
on this patio, looking out at the Mediterranean
sea (I know, tough life!) and I’ll let you
get back to your own Friday but if you also want
traffic and more visitors to your offers and
are interested in mostly fr*ee strategies of
how to do it… Kim’s course has gotten a lot
of attention and I too want to throw my hat
in the ring as someone who endorses this:

http://www.robtoth.com/tip/traffic.htm

Her material is bang on and the value of her
offer is exceptional.

Have a great Friday!

With appreciation,

Rob Toth

breaking up before Christmas

This might be a sore topic but, uhmm, did you
go through a break-up in the past few days?

(More on that in a second…)

Take 2 guys who don’t normally do the “webinar
thing” and you’re bound to end up with tech
difficulties.

Last night I hosted a brief presentation with
Scott Rewick.

NOTE: If you haven’t been reading the other
emails (which is very understandable especially
pre-Christmas), I won’t go into who Scott it
and all that jazz… but I’d invite you to
read pages 32+33 and 63 of my latest report
at www.FBMoneyReport.com

If you missed the webinar… but were hoping
for a recording, well, you might not like the
email I got from business genius but not so
tech savvy Scott this morning:

“ugh..somehow the sound didnt come through on
the recording. So bummed.”

So there isn’t a replay.

Not the end of the world, I’m sure. But I would
love to have had you seen it.

There are some parts of internet business
development and all things online marketing that
really hit home for me.

The topics tied to Scott’s absolute expertise
is one of them: online advertising, media buying,
snowballing profits to quickly scale a business,
big business growth (the smart way!!).

While all that isn’t 100% perfectly relevant
to everyone (maybe not even to you??), it is
VERY important to most.

And the hitch is: if you do it WRONG, you stand
to lose a LOT of time and mo*ney.

On the flipside, if you do it RIGHT, the paydays
are at levels most wouldn’t even believe.

Traffic generation and lead generation are the
backbone to ANY business.

Without it, you plateau or chase your own tail
endlessly.

So I really wanted to send you a recording of
it. But no go. I’ll be doing future work with
Scott so we’ll setup something in 2011.

In the meantime though, I’ve re-posted Scott’s
presentation from the Canada Marketing Summit.
If you haven’t watched it, it’s very similar content.

Here’s the link:

http://www.fbmoneyreport.com/scott

If you had been on the webinar, among some
actual education, you would have seen a fun
chart: the statistics of when the majority of
break-ups happen on Facebook.

… By far, the majority of all break-ups
occur pre-Spring Break and pre-Christmas.

So if you’ve been a victim of the holiday season
break-up and you’re sitting there with a tub
of ice cream, a box of tissues, sucking back on
a candy cane and making an “I’m so lonely”
sad face, snap out of it, plan for a really
successful 2011 and go watch Scott Rewick rant
about big business building, high volume media
buying and online advertising here:

http://www.fbmoneyreport.com/scott

P.S. Scott made a strong special offer at the
Canada Marketing Summit. His library of 10+ years
of big business building knowledge PLUS direct access
to him PLUS access into his mastermind. At the Summit
this was a $5000 package… after you watched the
presentation, if this is something you feel you need
to move on to quickly scale your business in 2011…
then take a look at the special price on the page.

P.P.S. Also, on the webinar I offered to throw in my
own bonuses: (1) 4-hour time block with me (2) access
to all of the Canada Marketing Summit videos before
we publicly release them and (3) fr*ee transferable
ticket to Canada Marketing Summit 2011 in June… with
full VIP priviledges.

Those bonuses (the ones I threw in) are NOT mentioned
on the video page but I’ll certainly honour them for
the first few orders.

Watch the video at:

http://www.fbmoneyreport.com/scott

With appreciation,

- Rob
